Tá Údarás Craolacháin na hÉireann (BAI) tar éis a fhógairt inniu, an 25 Bealtaine 2017, go bhfuil ceithre chonradh sínithe le haghaidh seirbhísí craolacháin fuaime. I measc na seirbhísí seo, áirítear an tseirbhís náisiúnta fhormáid-leathan craolacháin fuaime, Today FM; seirbhís réigiúnach cheol-dhírithe don aos óg san Iardheisceart, Spin South West; seirbhís raidió pobail le haghaidh Chaisleán an Bharraigh agus an Cheantar Máguaird, Raidió Pobail Chaisleán an Bharraigh; agus seirbhís raidió pobail le haghaidh Chonamara Thiar Thuaidh, Raidió Pobail Chonamara.

Agus é ag trácht ar shíniú na gconarthaí, dúirt an tOllamh Pauric Travers, Cathaoirleach an BAI: “Tá an-áthas orainn conarthaí 10 mbliana a shínú le gach ceann de na ceithre sheirbhís sin inniu.  Is luachmhar an ról atá ag na seirbhísí seo ó thaobh cur le héagsúlacht na seirbhísí atá ar fáil do luchtanna féachana agus éisteachta in Éirinn, ceann de phríomhthéamaí an BAI i gcomhthéacs an róil rialacháin agus na hintinne straitéisí atá aige mar eagraíocht. Guímid rath leanúnach ar na conraitheoirí go léir thar thréimhse na gconarthaí seo.”
